Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when you can get a payment for StreamLadder refunded and how to request one. It is part of our Terms of Service.

This Refund Policy was last updated on 23 October 2026.

Requesting a refund

To the extent permitted by applicable law, payments are non-refundable, except in the cases below. We don't refund or credit partial billing periods or time you didn't use.

To request a refund, use the Request a refund button under Plans & Billing in your account settings. It checks your payments against this policy and answers right away. If you qualify, you confirm and we start the refund right away. If you don't, it tells you which rule applies and what you can do instead.

The answer is final. Our support team applies the same rules and refers refund requests to the button.

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 business days. Only money charged to your payment method is refunded; a payment covered by your credit balance has nothing to refund.

Website subscriptions (monthly and yearly)

You can get your most recent payment back in full if you ask within the window below. This covers new subscriptions, renewals and the first payment after a free trial, for whatever reason, including an accidental purchase or the wrong plan.

PaymentWindowCondition
Monthly48 hours after the paymentYou haven't used StreamLadder since the payment
Yearly14 days after the paymentYou haven't used StreamLadder since the payment
Yearly renewal48 hours after the renewalNone, even if you used StreamLadder
  • Use means: you exported a video, ran a ClipGPT project, created or scheduled a post, or downloaded a clip.
  • Your plan ends right away when the refund is made.
  • Once every 12 months. You can get a refund under this section once in any 12 months. Refunds for a double charge or a charge after cancelling don't count.

Not refundable:

  • payments outside these windows, or that you used;
  • a renewal you forgot to cancel, once its window has passed;
  • the unused rest of a billing period;
  • charges for changing plans (the price difference when you upgrade) and one-time purchases.

Special cases

  • Charged twice. If one subscription was charged twice for the same period, we refund the second payment and your plan stays active. If two subscriptions paid for the same time, we refund and end the newer one, and the older one stays active.
  • Charged after cancelling. If our records show that you cancelled, or tried to cancel, before a renewal, we refund that renewal and your plan ends. We need a record in our systems; saying you cancelled is not enough.
  • Free trials. A trial costs nothing. Cancel before it ends and you won't be charged. The first payment after the trial follows the windows above.
  • Failed payments. If a payment didn't go through, nothing was charged. A hold from your bank disappears by itself within a few days.
  • Disputes. If you disputed a payment with your bank, your bank handles it, and we can't refund it as well. A payment that was already refunded can't be refunded again.
  • Wrong plan. You can switch plans at any time instead. Upgrading costs only the difference for the rest of the billing period. Downgrading turns the part you haven't used into credit for your next payments.
  • PayPal and our old checkout. Payments made this way are checked by hand. We reply by email within 2 working days.

Mobile app subscriptions

Subscriptions bought in the StreamLadder app are sold by Apple or Google, and only they can refund them. We can't refund them, and the store decides under its own rules. Request your refund here:
